Top rankedYalovaspor (21-3) recorded its third loss in Izmir on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by seventh ranked Bornova (12-12) 82-76 . Bornova looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was point guard JJ Frazier (178-1995, college: Georgia) who had a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds, 17 assists and 7 steals. Center Joshua Patton (203-1997, college: Sacramento St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Four Bornova players scored in double figures. Center Brandon Walters (208-1995, college: MTSU) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and guard Andrew Harrison (198-1994, college: Kentucky) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bornova maintains seventh place with 12-12 record. Yalovaspor at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Bornova are looking forward to face Kapakli Spor (#8) in Tekirdag in the next round. Yalovaspor will play on the road against Gaziantep (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
