No shocking result in a game when fifth rankedTargoviste (5-7) crushed on the road bottom-ranked Targu Mures (1-11) 74-47 on Thursday. The game without a history. Targoviste led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Targu Mures to just 7 points in first quarter. Targoviste made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Targu Mures 45-22 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by international forward Anamaria Virjoghe (196-1999, college: Gonzaga) who scored that evening 16 points and 9 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and Canadian forward Samantha Keltos (190-1998) supported her with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Five Targoviste players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 5 rebounds by Austrian swingman Sara Solyom (178-2000) did not help to save the game for Targu Mures . Point guard Ruxandra Chis (176-1993) added 6 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Targoviste maintains fifth position with 5-7 record. Loser Targu Mures stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Brasov.
