Not a big story in a game when 9th rankedBBU (6-11) lost to seventh ranked Towers (10-7) in Salzburg 78-84 . It looked good early as BBU Salzburg took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Towers had a 33-27 second period charge getting the lead and BBU Salzburg was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 78-84. Towers dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to BBU 's 24 and made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded BBU 40-19 including a 33-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Spanish point guard Aleix Pujadas (192-1996) stepped up and scored 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Slovakian power forward Justin Sedlak (206-1987, college: Florida Tech) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Pujadas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Center Marko Rakic (200-1999) responded with 24 points and Belgian point guard Francis Torreborre (184-1993) scored 20 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Towers maintains seventh place with 10-7 record. BBU Salzburg at the other side keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Lions.
