There was a minor upset when 10th rankedKretinga (13-20) lost to thirteenth ranked Neptunas-Akv. (8-25) in Klaipeda 84-96 on Saturday. Neptunas-Akv. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Neptunas-Akv. made 31 blocks. The winners were led by guard Kristupas Lesciauskas (191-2005) who scored that evening 20 points and 5 blocks and Gabrielius Mazeika (206-2003, agency: BIG) supported him with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Five Neptunas-Akv. players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds by center Rytis Zabita (199-1994) did not help to save the game for Kretinga . Point guard Mindaugas Stasys (179-1986) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Neptunas-Akv. maintains thirteenth position with 8-25 record. Kretinga at the other side keeps the tenth place with 20 games lost. They share the position with Atletas.
