Important game to mention about took place in Giessen. Eighth rankedBasketball-Akademie (3-11) saved a 3-point victory at home edging leader Ludwigsburg (9-4) 95-92 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Giessen dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Ludwigsburg 's 26. Giessen players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Forward Christian Mann (199-2006) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners and point guard Till Heyne (183-2006) chipped in 29 points and 10 assists. Basketball-Akademie's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side Abdulhay Komurkara responded with 36 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Bulgarian guard Daniel Hinkov (190-2007) scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Giessen maintains eighth place with 3-11 record. Ludwigsburg lost third consecutive game. They still keep top position with four games lost. They share it with Bayern.
