Very expected game when 10th rankedTimberwolves (5-17) were rolled over on the road by fifth ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (14-8) 97-63 on Saturday. The game without a history. Wels led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels forced 20 Timberwolves turnovers and outrebounded them 55-25 including a 23-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Timberwolves ' players. American forward Chris Ferguson (206-1989, college: Mid-Continent) scored 2 points, 25 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Lithuanian forward Arvydas Gydra (206-1989) chipped in 24 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Raiffeisen Flyers Wels players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Philipp DAngelo (198-1989) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and guard Oscar Schmit (189-1997) scored 12 points and 5 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wels moved-up to third place, which they share with Traiskirchen and UBSC Graz. Timberwolves lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 17 games lost.
