We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Kaunas where 10th rankedKretinga (13-21) was edged by eleventh ranked Atletas (14-21) 87-84 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Atletas made 22 blocks. Justinas Jogminas (197-1997) scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Nojus Vaivada (195-2004) chipped in 14 points and 4 blocks during the contest. At the losing side point guard Mindaugas Stasys (179-1986) responded with 18 points and 8 assists and center Rytis Zabita (199-1994) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Four Kretinga players scored in double figures. Kretinga's coach Arimantas Mikalocius tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Atletas moved-up to tenth place. Loser Kretinga dropped to the eleventh position with 21 games lost.
