Not a big story in a game in Bucuresti where 8th rankedTargu Jiu 2 (6-11) was outplayed by leader Steaua (18-0) 109-32 on Sunday. The game without a history. Steaua led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Targu Jiu 2 to just 6 points in first quarter. Steaua dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Targu Jiu 2 's 18. Steaua forced 37 Targu Jiu 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 50-19 including a 20-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Steaua looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Targu Jiu 2 's players. American guard BJ Fitzgerald (198-2000, college: Virginia St.) stepped up and scored 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Joey Potts (208-1999, college: Oregon Tech) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Steaua B. players scored in double figures. Coach Ciprian Enache's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. British guard Andrei Baragan (188-2003) responded with 15 points and Flavius Toropu (-2005) scored 2 points and 6 rebounds. The victory was the seventeenth consecutive win for Steaua . They maintain first place with 18-0 record. Targu Jiu 2 lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Oradea 2 and Voluntari 2.
