Rather predictable result when eighth rankedStekas (21-15) won against 11th ranked Kretinga (13-22) in Vilnius 93-79 on Thursday. Stekas outrebounded Kretinga 44-28 including 18 on the offensive glass. Stekas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Stekas made 28 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Paulius Semaska (184-1993) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Karolis Brusokas (202-1991) accounted for 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Stekas' coach Antanas Vipartas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Nojus Pabrieza (180-2004) came up with 24 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Mindaugas Stasys (179-1986) added 15 points and 6 assists respectively for Kretinga in the defeat. Four Kretinga players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Stekas . They maintain eighth place with 21-15 record. Kretinga lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 22 games lost.
