Seventh-rankedVytis (4-19) gave a tough game to first ranked Palanga (31-5) on Saturday. Palanga managed to secure only three-point victory 95-92 . However their fans expected much easier game. Palanga looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Palanga made 15 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Karolis Guscikas (206-1992, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Robert Subotkevic (203-1998) who added 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Palanga's coach Sandis Buskevics used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was point guard Deividas Kumelis (188-1995) with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and Augustinas Mikstas (203-2001, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Four Palanga and five Vytis players scored in double figures. Palanga have an impressive 19-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 31-5 record. Vytis at the other side keeps the seventh place with 19 games lost.
