There was a surprise result in Kocaeli where thirteenth rankedTED Ankara (11-15) beat higher ranked Cayirova (13-13) 87-82 on Saturday. TED Ankara made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for TED Ankara especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. American power forward Julien Ducree (206-1997, college: Utah Tech) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Teyvon Myers (188-1994, college: WVU) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. Five TED Ankara players scored in double figures. The former international Ilkan Karaman (205-1990, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Diante Watkins (175-1990, college: RMU, agency: BIG) scored 20 points and 5 assists. Cayirova's coach Fatih Gezer tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. TED Ankara moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Cayirova keeps the fifth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Bornova and Igdir.
