We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Rovinari where thirteenth rankedCraiova (8-2) beat 12th ranked Targu Jiu (8-2) 71-67 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-12 . But Targu Jiu won second period 20-19 . However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American point guard Sam Sessoms (183-1999, college: Coppin St.) fired 17 points for the winners. Ukrainian swingman Pavlo Krutous (201-1992, agency: BIG) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. American swingman Dimitrius Underwood (193-1998, college: Charleston) produced 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import guard Ethan Wright (190-2000, college: Colorado) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Four Targu Jiu players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Craiova moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Timisoara and Targu Jiu.
