Semi-Finals Game 2: APOP - AEL 41-75

The game was mostly controlled by AEL. APOP managed to win fourth quarter18-15 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AEL dominated on the defensive end, holding APOP to just 4 points in third quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to APOP 's 32. AEL forced 24 APOP turnovers and outrebounded them 49-37 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. AEL looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by APOP 's players. The former international point guard Anthia Papadouri (168-1993) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 5 assists. American swingman Sara Dickey (177-1995, college: Evansville) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four AEL players scored in double figures. AEL's coach Giorgos Palalas felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Panagiota Themistokleous (185-2000) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Rebeka Theoti (175-1998) added 6 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for APOP.
