Very predictable result when second rankedChemnitz (19-4) won against 17th ranked Hakro Merlins (4-19) in Crailsheim 97-82 on Saturday. Chemnitz made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Crailsheim turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Canadian point guard Kaza Kajami-Keane (185-1994, college: Carleton) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals. American Wesley Van Beck (193-1996, college: Houston) accounted for 24 points for the winning side. Five Chemnitz players scored in double figures. American forward James Murray-Boyles (200-1997, college: UNCP, agency: Players Group) came up with 14 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Keandre Cook (194-1997, college: Missouri St.) added 16 points respectively for Crailsheim in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chemnitz keeps a position of league leader. Crailsheim lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with 19 games lost. They share the position with Heidelberg.
