There was a minor upset when 13th rankedMBC (7-16) lost to sixteenth ranked Tigers (6-17) in Tuebingen 78-88 on Saturday. Tuebingen made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized Croatian Mateo Seric (204-1999) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Finnish point guard Aatu Kivimaki (185-1997, agency: Blacktop Management) accounted for 8 points and 8 assists for the winning side. Four Tigers players scored in double figures. American point guard Charles Callison (185-1995, college: WSU, agency: Slash Sports) came up with 22 points and 6 assists and Martin Breunig (203-1992, college: Montana) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Weissenfels in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Tuebingen maintains sixteenth place with 6-17 record. Loser MBC dropped to the fourteenth position with 16 games lost.
