The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedDragons Rhoendorf (17-5) in Muenchen on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by seventh ranked Bayern (12-9) 90-83 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dragons Rhoendorf. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when FC Bayern 2 made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Martin Kalu (195-2005) who helped to win the game recording 32 points. Ivan Kharchenkov (198-2006) contributed with 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Bayern's coach Emir Mutapcic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized American guard Kelvin Omojola (183-1997, college: Northwest) replied with 21 points and 6 assists and Ferenc Gille (203-1998) added 15 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Rhoendorf. Four Rhoendorf players scored in double figures. Bayern have a solid three-game winning streak. FC Bayern 2 moved-up to sixth place. Rhoendorf at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. They share it with Koeln. FC Bayern 2 are looking forward to face league's second-placed OrangeAcad. in Ulm in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rhoendorf will play at home against Leitershofen and is hoping to win this game.
