Regular Season Round 23: Bayern - Vechta 88-90

The most exciting game of round 23 in the BBL took place in Muenchen. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of second-rankedBayern Muenchen (18-4) to fifth ranked Rasta Vechta (15-8) 90-88 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the 14-game winning streak of Bayern Muenchen. American guard Ryan Schwieger (198-1999, college: Loyola, IL) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 6 assists. His fellow American import forward Chavares Flanigan (196-1996, college: Parkside) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Argentinian swingman Leandro Bolmaro (198-2000) answered with 15 points and 7 assists and American power forward Devin Booker (205-1991, college: Clemson) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bayern. Four Vechta and five Bayern players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Vechta maintains fifth place with 15-8 record, which they share with Ulm. Bayern at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost.
