There was no surprise in Rovinari whereTargu Jiu 2 was outplayed by Ploiesti CSM 2 82-57 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Ploiesti CSM 2. Targu Jiu 2 managed to win fourth quarter 12-10 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ploiesti CSM 2 made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Targu Jiu 2 turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Lorenzo Diaconescu (202-2005) who scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Tudor Pirvu (-2007) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. Point guard Alexandru Mitu (-2005) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and Flavius Toropu (-2005) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest.
