Everything went according to plan in Balikesir where sixth rankedTurgutlu (15-12) beat 12th ranked Burhaniye (9-19) 72-65 on Sunday. Turgutlu outrebounded Burhaniye 42-23 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Turgutlu looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American-Nigerian center Lauren Ebo (193-2000, college: Notre Dame) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds for the winners and swingman Nihan Dabakoglu (175-1998) chipped in 16 points. Yagmur Yildiz (172-2000) responded with 11 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and American center Tearra Banks (188-1995, college: Austin Peay) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Burhaniye players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Turgutlu have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Bursa. Newly promoted Burhaniye dropped to the eleventh position with 19 games lost. They share it with Mersin G..
