Regular Season Round 27: Aschersleben - Goetting.ASC 68-77

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Aschersleben (14-8) was defeated at home by second ranked Goetting.ASC (18-3) 77-68 on Wednesday. Goetting.ASC made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for swingman Nick Boakye (196-1995) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 5 rebounds. Christopher Schultz (194-2003) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Tyrese Davis (206, college: TAMIU) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and forward Fabian Giebel (198-2000, college: Patrick Henry) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Four Aschersleben players scored in double figures. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Goetting.ASC. They maintain second place with 18-3 record having five points less than leader Veitshoechheim. Loser Aschersleben keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
