There was an upset in Crailsheim where higher rankedBG Goettingen (7-18) was defeated by eighteenth ranked Hakro Merlins (5-20) 80-76 on Saturday. American guard Keandre Cook (194-1997, college: Missouri St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and French guard Leo Westermann (198-1992, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) chipped in 12 points and 5 assists. At the losing side Latvian center Karlis Silins (210-1997, college: FAU) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard David DeJulius (183-1999, college: Cincinnati) scored 16 points. Four Crailsheim and five Goettingen players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Crailsheim moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Heidelberg. Goettingen lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 18 games lost.
