Rather expected game when 8th rankedSeawolves 2 (10-14) was rolled over on the road by sixth ranked Wolmirstedt (15-9) 116-83 on Saturday. Wolmirstedt made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while Rostock II only scored three points from the stripe. They outrebounded Rostock II 46-24 including a 36-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Wolmirstedt looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Maximilian Begue (192-2001) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Lithuanian power forward Modestas Paulauskas (211-1995) who added 19 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five Wolmirstedt players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Branden Maughmer (190-1999, college: Morehead St., agency: Helping Ballers) with 25 points and 4 assists and Dutch swingman Sydnee Bijlsma (195-2004) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wolmirstedt have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Berlin BG 2000 and Bball Loewen. Rostock II lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with TKS 49ers and BSW Sixers.
