There was a surprise result when fourteenth rankedTED Ankara (12-18) won against on the road higher ranked Igdir (15-15) 75-63 on Saturday. TED Ankara made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Strangely Igdir outrebounded TED Ankara 42-30 including 17 on the offensive glass. Hazer Avci (206-1987) notched 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and American guard Teyvon Myers (188-1994, college: WVU) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four TED Ankara players scored in double figures. TED Ankara's coach Korhan Aydanarig used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 13 points and 9 rebounds by Cameroonian forward Benoit Mbala (200-1995) did not help to save the game for Igdir . American point guard Marlain Veal (175-1996, college: SE Louisiana) added 10 points and 6 assists. TED Ankara moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Igdir keeps the fifth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Final Spor and Cayirova.
