Eighth-rankedDinamo (5-12) was very close to win a game against second ranked Oradea (14-3) on Friday. Oradea managed to secure only two-point victory 66-64 . However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dinamo B.. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 29-18 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Dinamo 41-23 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for the former international center Catalin Baciu (214-1988, college: Clemson) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. American Toddrick Gotcher (192-1993, college: Texas Tech) contributed with 12 points and 4 assists for the winners. Oradea's coach Cristian Achim used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American power forward Sean Evans (203-1988, college: St.John's, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and the former international point guard Andrei Mandache (190-1987, agency: BIG) added 14 points in the effort for Dinamo. Oradea have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-3 record having just five point less than leader Cluj Napoca. Dinamo at the other side keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Targu Mures and Brasov.
