Twelfth-ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (2-29) made lots of trouble for tenth ranked Timberwolves (8-22) on Saturday. The visitors from Vienna managed to secure only three-point victory 88-85 . However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 3 points. Timberwolves looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Forward Elias Wlasak (190-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Jakob Szkutta (188-1999) chipped in 24 points and 4 assists. Timberwolves' coach Justin Schlunken allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American forward Joe Hampton (203-1998, college: LBSU) with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import guard Hegel Augustin (190, college: PVAMU) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Furstenfeld Panthers players scored in double figures. Timberwolves maintains tenth place with 8-22 record. Furstenfeld lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 29 lost games.
