Very predictable result when second rankedChemnitz (22-5) defeated at home 7th ranked Telekom Baskets (16-11) 80-66 on Saturday. Chemnitz dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Telekom Baskets 's 30. Chemnitz outrebounded Bonn 44-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. Chemnitz looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Bonn 's players. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Jonas Richter (207-1997) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Canadian point guard Kaza Kajami-Keane (185-1994, college: Carleton) chipped in 14 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Brian Fobbs (196-1998, college: Towson) who recorded 21 points and Canadian forward Thomas Kennedy (206-2000, college: Windsor) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Telekom Baskets' coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Chemnitz maintains second place with 22-5 record having just one point less than leader Bayern.
