There was no surprise in Eisenstadt where 11th rankedNord Dragonz (3-28) was crushed by eighth ranked Gunners Oberwart (17-14) 92-64 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Oberwart. Eisenstadt managed to win third quarter 19-16 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gunners Oberwart dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Nord Dragonz 's 34 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Nord Dragonz 51-31 including 18 on the offensive glass. Gunners Oberwart looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international center Daniel Koeppel (210-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and American forward Kris Monroe (203-1999, college: NCCU) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. Five Gunners Oberwart players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Nigerian guard Austen Awosika (190-1998, college: CS Fullerton) with 15 points and 7 rebounds and guard Valentin Pasterk (184-2003) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Oberwart have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 17-14 record. Eisenstadt lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 28 games lost.
