Not a big story in a game in Angra where 12th rankedLusitania (1-19) was rolled over by second ranked Benfica (16-4) 113-73 on Saturday. Benfica shot 61.4 percent from the field. They also forced 20 Lusitania turnovers and outrebounded them 38-26 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Benfica shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Lusitania 's players. The best player for the winners was American Trey Drechsel (198-1996, college: GCU, agency: Worldwide SM) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. His fellow American import center Terrell Carter II (208-1996, college: Fresno St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Benfica's coach Norberto Alves felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Sudanese forward Lual Rahama (196, college: Concord, agency: Players Group) who recorded 20 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Malik Bowman (203-2004) added 16 points respectively. Five Benfica and four Lusitania players scored in double figures. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Benfica . Defending champion used an opportunity after FC Porto lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Lusitania lost their eleventh game in a row. They stay dead last with 19 lost games.
