The game had a very big importance for second-rankedTargu Mures 2 as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Targu Mures 2 defeated 7th ranked Rm Valcea 2 at home 96-82 . The game was mostly controlled by Targu Mures 2. Rm Valcea 2 was better in second period 23-22 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Targu Mures 2 forced 19 Rm Valcea 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. Targu Mures 2 players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Rm Valcea 2 was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Andrei Muresan (198-2003) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Botond Szilveszter (193-2002) who added 14 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Sebastian Ciobu (-2006) responded with 19 points and 8 assists and point guard Gabriel Radu (184-2007) scored 15 points and 7 assists. Five Targu Mures 2 and four Rm Valcea 2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Rm Valcea 2 lost third consecutive game. Rm Valcea 2 at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Targu Jiu 2.
