Date: September 29, 2024
The biggest surprise of round 2 in Dameligaen took place in Copenhagen where hostFalcon beat Aabyhoj 73-57 on Sunday evening. Falcon looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Falcon made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard Taylor Gleason (172-1995, college: Oakland) who scored 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international center Julianna Okosun (194-2001, college: Marquette, agency: Highlight Athletes) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Gleason is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Camilla Christiansen (174-2001) produced 9 points and 8 rebounds and international center Caroline Wich (185-1996, college: Portland St., agency: Highlight Athletes) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Aabyhoj's coach Fie Nordby rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Aabyhoj will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest. Falcon will try to continue on its current victory against SISU. It will be extra interesting game as SISU is their local rival from Copenhagen.
