Regular Season Round 2: Neuss - Rhoendorf 82-74

There was a minor upset when Rhoendorf was defeated on the road by TG Neuss 82-74 on Sunday. Neuss forced 21 Rhoendorf turnovers. Canadian power forward Claire Sutherland-Case (185-2001, college: CCSU) had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Marija Ilic (171-2007) chipped in 25 points during the contest. Lisanne Rawer (178-2006) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Zoe Perlick (172-2003) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Rhoendorf players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TG Neuss will meet Chemnitz on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Rhoendorf will play against Oberhausen and hope to win that game.
