Regular Season Round 4: Steaua B. - Constanta 83-82

Everything could happen in Bucuresti at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth rankedSteaua and 11th ranked Constanta had identical 1-2 record. This time Steaua used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Constanta 83-82 on Sunday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Constanta won fourth quarter 20-16 . However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tony Hicks (189-1994, college: Louisville) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import power forward Terrell Brown-Soares (208-1998, college: San Diego) who added 18 points and 8 rebounds during the contest (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Steaua B.'s coach Ciprian Enache used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American Tyler Stevenson (206-2002, college: MSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and the former international center Catalin Baciu (214-1988, college: Clemson) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Steaua and five Constanta players scored in double figures. Steaua (2-2) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Constanta lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with three games lost. They share it with Pitesti and Craiova.
