Regular Season Round 4: Berlin Braves - Schwelm 86-98
Date: October 19, 2024
Another exciting game was between fifth rankedSchwelm and one of their biggest challengers Braves where Schwelm (3-1) beat Braves (2-2) on the road 98-86 . It was a key game for the second position in the league. Braves were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Robert Merz (198-2000) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. Naturalized American Chris Frazier (182-1990, college: Dubuque) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Point guard Adrian Worthy (187-2003) replied with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Phillip Daubner (204-1994) added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Braves. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Braves' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Schwelm have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Berlin Braves at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with 9 other teams. Schwelm will play against league's leader ETB Miners in Essen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Berlin Braves will play on the road against Neustadt TSV (#14) and hope to get back on the winning track.
