Regular Season Round 6: Herford - Dorsten 116-106

There was no surprise when 12th rankedDorsten (2-4) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Herford (4-2) 116-106 on Saturday. Herford made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Dorsten turnovers. Herford looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Trinidad and Tobago-American forward Stacey Thomas (203-1998, college: LSUS) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Slovenian swingman Nejc Dizdarevic (192-2005) chipped in 22 points. Thomas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Herford players scored in double figures. Herford's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Aamondae Coleman (200-1998, college: Fresno Pacific, agency: Bell Basketball) who recorded a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds (on 16-of-21 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import Paul Lunguana added 28 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Herford have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Grevenbroich and Bramsche. Dorsten lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with four games lost.
