There was no surprise when bottom-rankedVechta-2 (0-6) lost to ninth ranked 46ers (4-2) in Giessen 73-87 on Sunday. Giessen made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Giessen made 9 blocks. American guard Kyle Castlin (193-1996, college: Xavier) notched 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and naturalized American guard Kevin McClain (190-1996, college: Belmont) supported him with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
