Al Nasser (D1) strengthened their roster with the addition of 28-year-old USA-Guyanese power forward Joshua Nurse (208cm-95kg-1997, college: SFC). He was about to sign with Sloboda in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I, but it seems he will not stay with that team after all. Last season, he played at CJS Batroun in Lebanese DLBL where in three games he recorded 11.7ppg, 11.7rpg, 1.3apg, and 1.3bpg.
He is a quite experienced player. Thanks to Nurse's pro career, he managed to play on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa, and of course North America) in twelve different countries. Nurse has played professionally in Austria (Dukes), Georgia (Dinamo), Indonesia (Bali United), Kosovo (Vellaznimi), Lebanon, Lithuania (Vilkaviskis), Mexico (Santos), Spain (Oviedo), North Macedonia (Kozuv), Libya (Shabab), and TBL (Tri-State Admirals).
His team finished as the runner-up in the regular season of Libyan League Group 3 in 2024.
He graduated from St. Francis College (NY) in 2020 and is currently in his seventh season as a professional player.
