ZKK-Lavovi-Brcko (Division I) strengthened their roster with addition of 31-year old Virgin Islander ex-international 170cm guard Akeema Richards (college: Delaware). Richards started the season at Les Foxes in Armenian D1 league. In 16 games she recorded very impressive stats: 23.2ppg, 11.8rpg, 3.9apg and 4.7spg. She was also voted League Player of the Week (3 times).
Richards represented U.S. Virgin Islands at the Centrobasket in San Salvador (El Salvador) two years ago. Richards' team won Silver and her stats at that event were 4 games: 8.0ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.5apg, FGP: 38.2%, FT: 54.5%.
Thanks to Richards' pro career she managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). She has played previously professionally in Ireland (Templeogue), Mexico (Lobas) and WUBA (Georgia Energy). Her team won CAA Tournament in 2012 and 2013.
Worth to mention she played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped her to get the job in pro basketball.
Richards graduated from University of Delaware in 2014 and it is her ninth season in pro basketball.
