Zaay Green claims Croatian Premijer Liga Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Zaay Green (188-F-2000) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best ZKK Brod na Savi Slavonski Brod and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 26-year old forward had the game-high 31 points adding eight rebounds and seven assists for Brod na Savi in her team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Rijeka (#9, 0-3) with 23-point margin 89-66. Brod na Savi maintains the 2nd position in Croatian Premijer Liga. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Brod na Savi will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Green had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 12 attempts. She turned to be Brod na Savi's top player in her first season with the team. The University of Alabama graduate has very impressive stats this year. Green is in league's top in points (5th best: 20.0ppg) and averages solid 1.3bpg,53.3% FGP and 43.8% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Brod na Savi's star - young American guard Laila Phelia (183-G-2002). Phelia impressed basketball fans with 31 points and 4 rebounds. Of course together with Green she helped ZKK Brod na Savi Slavonski Brod with another comfortable win outscoring Rijeka (#9, 0-3) 89-66. Brod na Savi's second position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 3-1 record is not bad at all. Phelia is a newcomer at Brod na Savi and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.5ppg (#4). She also registered 5.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Irish Enya Maguire (165-G-2000, agency: Olsta) of ZKK Zagreb (#5). Maguire showcased her all-around game by recording 22 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Zagreb, leading her team to a 94-64 easy win against the lower-ranked Zadar (#8, 1-3). Zagreb needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Maguire has a very solid season. In 3 games in Croatia she scored 16.7ppg.
