Defending champion Keravnos Strovolou (OPAP Basket League) inked 31-year old Cypriot international point guard Christopher Razis (194-89). It is actually his comeback to Strovolos as he has played here before. Razis has played for the last two years at Rethymno Cretan Kings in Greek B league. But in 15 A1 games he averaged just 0.6ppg last season.
Razis has been also a member of Cypriot international program for some years. He has regularly played for Cypriot senior team since 2008 and previously for U16 National Team in 2005.
Razis represented Cyprus at the European Championships 2021 Pre-Qualifiers last year. His stats at that event were 7 games: 7.6ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.3apg, 1.1spg, FGP: 35.5%, 3PT: 40.0%, FT: 50.0%.
Razis has played also professionally in Germany (EWE Baskets, SC Rasta Vechta and Oettinger Rockets Gotha) and Cyprus (Ydra Asfalistiki ENAD Agios Dometios).
Among many awards Razis won German 2.Bundesliga Pro A championship title in 2018. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Greek A2 3rd Team award between 2014 and 2015.
His game is described as: Christopher is a combo guard who can do many jobs in the court. He is a point guard who can play at the off guard as well. Nice ball handler with good Point guard abilities. He has very high level Basketball IQ, he can always find the open man in offence. He can hit the 3-pointer as well as the two pointer from any given spot in the court. Christopher has excellent attitude on and off the floor. He is very coach able and basketball lover he can work out many hours per day as he really targets the sport and he sees him self seriously into the court, in the short term future. He is persistence and always optimist in and out of the court. He is perfectionist and tries always to get the maximum out of his ability. He needs to improve his defence, especially on the man-to-man.
