Fourth-ranked Amager (2-4) made lots of trouble for leader Falcon (7-0) in Kastrup on Saturday. The visitors from Copenhagen managed to secure only three-point victory 71-68. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Amager. They outrebounded Amager 43-30 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international guard Elisabeth Brynaa (176-1993) who scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Katrine Lassen (178-1999) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Anna Seilund (174-1993, college: USF) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Undefeated Falcon have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Aabyhoj. They maintain second place with 4-2 record having four points less than leader Falcon. SISU lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with five games lost. Aabyhoj will play against Herlev (#4) on the road in the next round. SISU will play against Amager and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
