Markiv's 17 points give her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

16-year old shooting guard Mariia Markiv (178-SG-2010) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for BC Frankivsk Prykarpattia U17 team and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
She had the game-high 17 points adding four rebounds for Frankivsk in her team's victory, helping them to beat MOBI-SDYUSHOR (#7, 1-3) 64-54. Frankivsk maintains the 4th position in EGBL U19 . They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Frankivsk will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Markiv had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. It's her second year at Frankivsk and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Markiv has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 12.0ppg).

Second best performed player last round was Noura Saleh of Edinburgh Blaze. She is a in her 2nd season at Boroughmuir. In the last game Saleh recorded an impressive 20 points and 4 rebounds. Bad luck as Blaze lost that game 32-50 to Georgian U18 (2-2). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Saleh is well-known at Edinburgh Blaze and she already established her position as one of the team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.8ppg (#5).

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Kateryna Kolomiiets (176-F/G-2010) of MOBI-SDYUSHOR Kyiv U19 team (#7). Kolomiiets scored 26 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). Despite Kolomiiets' great performance the MOBI-SDYUSHOR lost 54-64 to Frankivsk (#4, 3-1). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. MOBI-SDYUSHOR can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. Kolomiiets has individually a great season in EGBL U19. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.0ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 12.3rpg (#1 in league).
