EGBL U17 round 1 best performance: Mille Soerensen

Mille Soerensen had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked BC Aabyhoj U17 team, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The player had a double-double of 35 points and 12 rebounds, while her team beat Norrkoping (#7, 1-4) 55-50. Aabyhoj was forced-out from the top positions in EGBL U17. They are still close to the very top. Aabyhoj would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. Soerensen turned to be Aabyhoj's top player in her first season with the team. Mille Soerensen has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.4ppg. Soerensen is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 7.8rpg) and averages impressive 3.6spg.

The second best player in last round's games was Tyra Johansson of BC Norrkoping Dolphins U17 team. Johansson had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Norrkoping lost that game 50-55 to Aabyhoj (5-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Johansson is a newcomer at Norrkoping, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.4ppg (#3). She also registered 10.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Kristiina Kravtsenko (2009) of TalTech Tallinn (#4). Kravtsenko scored 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. She was a key player of TalTech, leading her team to a 75-23 easy win against RDF Eagles (#8, 0-6). TalTech needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Kravtsenko has a great season in European Girls Basketball League. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 12.7ppg (4th best).

10. Kotryna Grunkyte (168-G-2010) of Deives - 11 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
