Aniste's 34-point game gives him 1 Liiga Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

26-year old Estonian shooting guard Janar Aniste (180-SG-2000) had an amazing evening in the last round for Paide Viking Window and receives a Hoops Agents 1 Liiga Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had the game-high 34 points adding four rebounds and four assists for Paide VW in his team's victory, helping them to crush Keila Basket (#8, 2-4) with 24-point margin 100-76. Paide VW is placed at 3rd position in Estonian 1 Liiga. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Paide VW will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Aniste had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Paide VW, through which he has constantly improved. Aniste has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 25.3ppg. Aniste is in league's top in assists (8th best: 4.5apg) and averages solid 2.8spg and 53.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Tanel Lepp (193-G-2007) of Tartu Ulikool Maks & Moorits. He is a guard in his first season at Ulikool/Estiko. In the last game Lepp recorded an impressive 28 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course he led Tartu to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Haljala (#11, 1-5) 96-71. Tartu's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Lepp is a newcomer at Tartu and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.0ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 6.3rpg and 7.2apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Andreas Parn (184-PG-2008) of Audentese Spordigumnaasium (#10). Parn showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Audentese, leading his team to a 99-80 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Haljala (#11, 1-5). Audentese can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Parn has individually a great season in Estonia. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.7ppg (3rd best).
