Peter Kovacik (190-G-2005) answered with 18 points for Slovakia. Ukraine - Georgia 85-76 Ukraine held off Georgia to enter the semis in Pitesti. Ukraine built a 39-29 halftime lead. They poured in 28 points in the third stanza to ensure a 19-point lead at the final break. Georgia sank 28 points in the fourth period but could not avoid the loss. Kyrylo Skutyelnik (192-G-2004) posted 18 points for Ukraine. Luka Alavidze (194-PG-2005) and Giorgi Sulabertidze tossed in 17 points each for Georgia. Romania - Hungary 94-62 Romania cruised past Hungary to secure the semifinal berth. Romania went on a 48-33 first half run. They sank 46 points in the second half to ease to the victory. Finland - Portugal 68-66 Finland held off Portugal to advance into the semifinal round. Finland posted a 22-11 lead ten minutes into the game. But Portugal denied the deficit and eked out a narrow one-point lead heading into the fourth stanza. But Finland went on a 20-17 rally in the final period to snatch the crucial win.
