Ireland celebrate the title in Dublin - Aug 15, 2021
San Marino - Gibraltar 92-82
San Marino celebrated the first win in Dublin. They wrapped up their campaign with the win over Gibraltar. San Marino trailed by 8 points at the interval 50-42. But San Marino went on a 32-15 run in the third term to surge ahead. They protected the lead throughout the fourth quarter and raced to the win. Gioele Moretti (190-F/G-93) produced 23 points, while Giacomo Pasolini (183-G-99) added 18 points in the victory. Sam Buxton (199-F-89, college: N.Alabama) tossed in 25 points for Gibraltar.

Ireland - Malta 97-66
Ireland are European Championship for Small Countries winners. They outgunned Malta in Dublin to finish the tournament undefeated. John Carroll (203-F-95, college: Hartford) provided 20 points to pace the winners. Ireland recorded a 51-32 halftime lead. They followed with a strong 24-12 run in the fourth quarter to conquer the Gold medals. Jordan Blount (203-F/C-97, college: UIC, agency: One Motive Sports) tallied 17 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists for the Irish team. Tevin Falzon (203-F-92, college: Sacred Heart) responded with 17 points and 11 rebounds for Malta as they finished third in Dublin.



Day 4 in Dublin - Aug 14, 2021
Gibraltar - Ireland 63-113
Ireland stayed perfect in Dublin. The hosts knocked down Gibraltar to gain 3-0 record. Ireland accumulated a 57-28 halftime advantage. They added 56 points in the second half to ease to the win. Sean Flood (188-G-96, college: Longwood) provided 19 points, while John Carroll (203-F-95, college: Hartford) added 14 points for Ireland. Miguel Ortega (188-PG-91) and Sam Buxton (199-F-89, college: N.Alabama) netted 15 points each for Gibraltar.

Malta - Andorra 74-93
Andorra handed the first defeat to Malta at the championship. Andorra improved at 3-1 record atop of the ladder. Malta led by six points after ten minutes. But Andorra ignited a 50-28 run in the next two periods to spur ahead. Andorra followed with a 24-21 run in the final period to seal the win. Bruno Bartolome (197-F-99) notched 16 points, while Sergio Serrato (185-PG-02) had 15 points for Andorra. Tevin Falzon (203-F-92, college: Sacred Heart) and Kurt Cassar (208-C-99) produced 23 points each for Malta.



Day 3 in Dublin - Aug 12, 2021
Ireland - San Marino 107-59
Ireland stormed past San Marino to improve at 2-0 record in Dublin. Ireland jumped off to a comfortable 59-22 halftime lead. They kept San Marino at bay throughout the second half and raced to the victory. Sean Flood (188-G-96, college: Longwood) and Will Hanley (201-G/F-90, college: Bowdoin) posted 15 points each for Ireland. Ygor Biordi (204-C/F-96) notched 15 points and 12 rebounds for San Marino.

Andorra - Gibraltar 91-74
Andorra fired past Gibraltar to gain the second victory in Dublin. Gibraltar used a 27-15 run in the second term to take a 2-point halftime lead. But Andorra responded with a massive 33-15 rally in the fourth frame to snatch the victory. Guillem Colom (195-F-91, agency: Interperformances) tossed in 27 points, while Sergio Serrato (185-PG-02) added 16 points for Andorra. Miguel Ortega (188-PG-91) answered with 22 points for Gibraltar.



Day 2 in Dublin - Aug 11, 2021
San Marino - Andorra 56-91
Andorra opened win count at the championship as they prevailed against San Marino. Guillem Colom (195-F-91, agency: Interperformances) and Alexis Bartolome (199-F-98) dropped 20 points each to lead the charge. Andorra secured a 31-12 advantage ten minutes into the game. They went on a 24-8 rally in the fourth quarter to ensure a convincing victory. Tommaso Felici (204-C-01) produced 17 points and 10 rebounds for San Marino.

Gibraltar - Malta 63-89
Malta rallied past Gibraltar for the second straight win in Dublin. Aaron Falzon (203-F-96, college: Quinnipiac) was unstoppable with 38 points and 8 rebounds in the win. Malta grabbed a 29-17 lead after ten minutes. They went on a 46-29 second half run to ice the win. Kurt Cassar (208-C-99) provided 18 points and 20 rebounds for Malta. Miguel Ortega (188-PG-91) answered with 16 points for Gibraltar.

Ireland outgunned Andorra in Dublin today. The hosts grabbed a 57-45 halftime lead. Andorra slowed their opponents down in the second half but came up short at the end. John Carroll (203-F-95, college: Hartford) notched 24 points and 10 rebounds, while Lorcan Murphy (182-PG-94) added 21 points and 7 rebounds for the Irish team.
