Armenia conquered the title in Valetta. They prevailed against hosting Malta in the Final. Chris Jones (188-G-1993, college: Angelo St.) came up with impressive 41 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists to pace the champions. Andre Spight (190-G-1995, college: N.Colorado) contributed 22 points and 7 boards for the winners. Malta recorded a 19-15 lead after ten minutes. But Armenia turned the tables in the second term. They went on a 24-11 run to take a 39-30 halftime lead. Armenia extended the margin to double digits in the third period. They sank 22 points in the fourth quarter and rallied to the victory. Samuel Deguara (230-C-1991) notched 27 points and 16 rebounds for Malta. Nelson Kahler (206-C-1994, college: CSU-Pueblo) had 17 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.
3-4 Place
Azerbaijan - Andorra 75-84
Andorra stepped onto the pedestal in Malta. They beat Azerbaijan to claim the third position. Guillem Colom (195-F-1991, agency: BIG) stepped up with 31 points to pace the winners. Andorra built a 44-36 halftime lead. They followed with a 23-19 run in the fourth quarter to ice the win. Bruno Bartolome (197-F-1999) had 19 points for the winners. Ender Poladkhanli (199-F/C-1998) answered with 25 points for Azerbaijan.

5-6 Place
Gibraltar - San Marino 52-62
San Marino beat Gibraltar to finish fifth. San Marino opened a 22-11 lead after ten minutes. They went on a 17-12 run in the third term to take a 13-point lead and never looked back en route to the win. Pietro Ugolini (200-F/G-2000) and Francesco Palmieri (168-PG-2002) tossed in 13 points each for the winners. Alejandro Garcia replied with 17 points and 10 rebounds for Gibraltar.


Malta and Armenia advance into Final - Jul 2, 2022
Malta - Azerbaijan 59-52
Malta defeated Azerbaijan to advance into the title game. Malta eked out a 28-27 halftime lead. Malta held their opponents to just 8 points in the third term to take a 4-point lead at the final break. Malta sank 20 points in the fourth stanza and raced to the victory. Samuel Deguara (230-C-1991) notched 18 points and 13 rebounds, while Tevin Falzon (203-F-1992, college: Sacred Heart) added 16 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. Orhan Haciyeva (200-PF-1989) chipped in 17 points and collected 11 rebounds for Azerbaijan.

Armenia - Andorra 93-66
Armenia outgunned Andorra to seal their Final place. Albert Tatevosyan (196-SF-1993) tallied 35 points to lead the charge. Armenia opened a 52-34 halftime lead. They followed with a 26-14 run in the third frame to clear off for good. Chris Jones (188-G-1993, college: Angelo St.) notched 24 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds for Armenia. Guillem Colom (195-F-1991, agency: BIG) tossed in 18 points for Andorra.



Azerbaijan and Andorra advance into semis in Malta - Jul 1, 2022
San Marino - Azerbaijan 51-68
Azerbaijan coasted past San Marino to enter the semifinal stage in Malta. Azerbaijan opened a 34-29 halftime lead. They followed with a strong 23-10 run in the fourth quarter to ice the win. Amil Hamzayev (204-F/C-1990, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) tossed in 21 points, while Jordan Davis (188-G-1997, college: N.Colorado) added 16 points for the winning side. Andrea Raschi (201-G-1979, agency: BIG) answered with 20 points and 9 rebounds for San Marino.

Andorra - Gibraltar 66-57
Andorra held off Gibraltar to ensure the semifinal berth. Andorra posted an 18-10 lead after ten minutes. Gibraltar managed to slow down in the next two quarters and cut the deficit at 4-point mark. But Andorra sank 24 points in the fourth term and rallied to the victory. Guillem Colom (195-F-1991, agency: BIG) hauled in 29 points for Andorra. Sergio Serrato (185-PG-2002) added 10 points for the winners. Alejandro Garcia answered with 15 points for Gibraltar.

Andorra pulled within one point at the final break but Malta held them to 16 points in the fourth quarter and raced to the win. Armenia - San Marino 78-66
Armenia held off San Marino to advance into the semifinal round in Malta. Armenia built a 42-30 halftime lead. They protected throughout the second half to rally to the win. Andre Spight (190-G-1995, college: N.Colorado) came up with 25 points for Armenia. Chris Jones (188-G-1993, college: Angelo St.) added 20 points in the win. Tommaso Felici (204-C-2001) replied with 17 points for San Marino.

Azerbaijan - Andorra 69-72
Andorra nipped Azerbaijan behind 21 points from Guillem Colom (195-F-1991, agency: BIG). Andorra accounted for a 40-38 halftime lead. They kept Azerbaijan in check throughout the second half and raced to a narrow win at the end. Sergio Serrato (185-PG-2002) tallied 20 points for the winners.
