2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers: Spain prevail against Croatia in Split

Spain victoriously opened their 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers campaign. They beat Croatia at the Gripe Sports Hall in Group A. Maria Cazorla (179-SG-1997, college: Oregon) scored 12 points to lead the visitors.
Croatia posted a 19-16 lead after ten minutes. Spain narrowed the gap at 2-point mark at the interval 32-34. Spain held the hosts to just 11 points in the third period to surge ahead for a 2-point lead at the final break. Spain unloaded 23 points in the fourth frame and raced to the victory. Queralt Casas (177-G/F-1992) and Laura Gil (190-C-1992) produced 11 points each for the winners. Patricia Bura (190-C-1996) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds for Croatia.
