Kitija Laksa (183-F-1996, college: S.Florida) has led Latvia past Ireland at the Rimi Olympic Centre. She nailed 25 points as her side won 85-53. Ireland dropped at 0-3 record in Group E.
Anete Steinberga (191-C-1990, college: UTEP) collected 16 points and 11 rebounds, whilst Kate Vilka (184-F-1996, college: Fordham) had 8 points and 8 rebounds. Kate Hickey (182-G-2002) and Hazel Finn (177-PG-2003) answered with 13 points each in the losing effort.
