2027 EuroBasket Qualifiers: Poland beat Slovakia in Group C

Liliana Banaszak (186-C/F-2000) and Stephanie Mavunga (191-C-1995, college: Ohio St.) scored 15 points each to pace Poland to a road win over Slovakia at the 2027 EuroBasket Qualifiers.
Poland dominated in the first half. The visitors eked out an 18-13 lead after ten minutes. They followed with a 17-7 rally in the second stanza to ensure a 35-20 halftime lead. Poland held the hosts to 11 points in the third period to pile up a 16-point advantage. Slovakia sank 24 points in the final stanza but could not avoid the loss.
Terezia Palenikova (178-SF-1995) banked in game-high 21 points and 9 boards for Slovakia.
