Latvia claimed the second victory at the 2027 EuroBasket Qualifiers. They knocked down neighbouring Estonia for 2-1 record in Group B. Kate Vilka (184-F-1996, college: Fordham) scored 17 points, while Kitija Laksa (183-F-1996, college: S.Florida) added 11 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts.
Latvia led by five points at the first break 21-16. They sank 26 points in the second period to ensure a 47-29 halftime advantage. Latvia limited their opponents to just 18 points in the second half and cruised to a comfortable win.
Mailis Pokk (186-F-1992) tossed in 13 points, while Anna-Gret Asi (173-G-2002, college: OK State) tossed in 12 points for Estonia as they fell at 0-3.
